                             2012 IS A NEW YEAR AT “THE BARN”

 

We have received all your lovely comments over the years and now we are working to change our venue to meet your demands. We understand and have experienced first hand the tough economic challenges everyone has faced over the past years.  With all the downside we want our patrons to experience the culture…bursting with its own brand of unique entertainment as we gather an impressive list of international artists who have performed for enthusiastic audiences over the years. “The Barn” was Nashville’s first professional theatre, opening March 29, 1967, and bringing the first live theatre tours from New York to the local areas.

 

The mission of “The Barn” is to promote the performing arts and to provide cultural and educational opportunities. “The Barn” is the oldest continuously Professional Dinner Theatre in Nashville and the Great State of Tennessee and the second oldest continuously operating dinner theatre in the United States. “The Barn” (Now operating as Theatre Advancement Production Society since 2003, a 501 (C) (3) Organization), d/b/a Chaffin’s Inc.), has produced over five hundred Broadway productions over 44 years.  BUT CHANGE IS COMING TO THE RED BARN…

(As you will notice we have four musicals and the other six shows are comedies.  We need a time to laugh.)

Our new operating hours for the theatre in 2012 will be Thursday – Sunday

Office hours Tuesday-Saturday 9am-8pm and Sunday 10am-6pm

Six productions a week with four full dinner and show.

 

YOUR CHAFFIN’S BARN SEASON AND SAMPLER MEMBERSHIP REMAINS THE SAME AS THIS YEAR ONLY YOU CAN USE THEM AT ANY TIME including Saturdays. (except New Years Eve, Valentines Day Event, or Special Events)

 

Here’s how it works: purchase the 2012 Season Membership for only $120 (tax deducible) and you get to attend 10 shows for only $30 a person, you pay “half-price” for up to two people per membership for each of the 10 shows.…That’s a potential savings of $600 a couple if you attend every show! Our Sampler Membership is a mini-version of the Season Membership ($60 for sampler with four shows) the sampler can be used for up to 4 couples on one night and if you need another sampler you can purchase at anytime.

    • Newly established music showcase in West Nashville Chaffin’s Barn Dinner Theatre is proud to announce a new addition to its entertainment season: The Barn Raisin’ Concert Series, an intimate acoustic songwriters’ night…Every Third Sunday of Each Month. It also represents one of the only places on the west side of town to offer music by musicians and writers of such a high caliber.
  • What you may not know is that Chaffin’s is a leader in facilitating fundraising events.  Already, the Bellevue YMCA program, DayStar Ministries, The Bellevue Exchange Club, as well as many other local organizations, depend on the Barn to deliver a top-notch experience for their fundraising events.  We can place at your fingertips all of the information you may need for determining the location of your next fundraiser.      TAPS (The Barn) has been A Legend, A Tradition, A Magic Treasure, and a place for Lasting Memories for over 44 years…We have worked to enhance the artistic talents of some of the local writers Nate Eppler, Dietz Osborne, Martha Wilkinson, Bobby Wyckoff, Lydia Bushfield, and our very own John Chaffin have had the opportunity to premiere several original plays at “The Barn”.  We also hold children camps for young adults and special senior events. We welcome all volunteers (Interns) who would like to learn or help backstage.
